Agent In-service Training: McCracken & Calloway County
Event Description
Calling all Horticulture and ANR Agents! Join the University of Kentucky Fruit Extension and McCracken & Calloway County Extension as we host our second commercial orchard production training of 2026 on Wednesday, February 25th from 9am-12pm & 1:30pm-4:30pm.
The morning session will focus on peaches and blackberries. The afternoon session will focus on apples.
For each crop, we'll be discussing site and variety selection, planting considerations, pruning young trees, fertility and irrigation, pest and disease management, and much more! This training will include classroom and outdoor training, so please dress for the weather.
Registration through KERS is required to attend this event. We encourage you to sign up for both the morning and afternoon sessions. Additional information can be found in KERS or reach out to us via email.
